There's quite a few (especially early) songs with ostensibly violent lyrics that have nothing really to do with injury or death, and vice versa, and then of course some songs deal with both. For example, I wouldn't say that I'm Killing It really goes anywhere near the theme of death, not even for expressive purposes - it's pure output, "kill kill kill" but nobody dies. All the way up to something like Object, which deals with both the consequences of violence and the agency of the perpetrator...lots of nuance and variables and subversions etc in between. Anyway, I've just added the ones I could think of off the top of my head, I'm sure there's probably more.

I've always interpreted the scene we're hearing pretty unambiguously as two murderers disposing of a body. Some people do seem to find it more ambiguous though, and I guess I see that.

i see this interpretation a lot but i dunno if i entirely agree with it. i know they talk about "flush[ing] Nicole down the toilet" in the song but it feels more metaphorical to me - there's some banter from a GWS-era show where Gene talks about how Nicole the person started dating someone else when she went to college, so i take that whole section about washing Nicole off his hands as being more about getting over her than actually killing her and disposing of her body, though maybe they might've been invoking semi-gruesome imagery intentionally. i dunno. i'm not opposed to adding it to the page, i'm just afraid it might be too polarizing since a lot of the Genius annotations that talk about that theory are heavily downvoted - Rose (talk) 19:27, 12 January 2025 (UTC)

The boys were prophets... this is a raven symone vision about the OJ simpson trial.. anything else is propaganda to cover it up. JK, i always thought it was about murder, the songs pretty unnerving. I think its meant to lead you to the idea of them killing her but consdiering nicole is real it would be in poor taste. --Thefakemrsmoltz (talk) 09:28, 15 June 2025 (UTC) Note: The above wiki user also forgot to use their signature/timestamp, so as of the date in my timestamp their identity is an unsolved mystery Chunky and likely to remain so.
