J-card of the Erica Peterson tape

Erica Peterson's Flaming Crib Death is an early, cassette-only album by Ween, released in 1986 on Dean Ween's label Yucassettes. Most of its songs were later included on Ween's first Bird O'Pray album, The Crucial Squeegie Lip, albeit with different recordings in a few cases.[1]

It is the earliest Ween release that circulates, although a number of earlier private tapes are known to exist.

Description and History[edit | edit source]

The cassette was recorded between 1983 and 1986[2] and contains tracks from four of their private demo cassettes. A majority of the recordings were later included on their first album-length cassette, The Crucial Squeegie Lip; the only songs not featured on Crucial are "Ann," "Disco Inferno," and "Fat Albert."
