Song Details[edit | edit source]
Recording and Composition[edit | edit source]
"The Stallion Pt. 5" is an art punk song with prominent psychedelic rock influences. The recorded version is in the key of D# minor, while live performances transpose it down to D minor.
As with many of the Craters of the Sac songs, the exact recording date of "The Stallion Pt. 5" is unknown, but it is thought to have been recorded sometime around 1998.
Live Performances[edit | edit source]
"The Stallion Pt. 5" has been a frequent inclusion in the live rotation since it was debuted in 2001.[1] In addition, Gene Ween apparently played it once at a solo acoustic show in 2010 (it's hard to imagine how that sounded).[2]
